Prvý parfum od tejto dizajnérky bol vydaný v roku 1992. Znalci nazývajú vôňu, ktorá sa objavila pod jej vlastným menom, „Black Swan“, čo odkazuje späť na elegantne zakrivený čierny flakón. Koženo-korenistý elixír sa začiatkom 90. rokov rozišiel s klasickými sladko-kvetinovými vôňami pre ženy. O dva roky neskôr nasledoval Cashmere Mist. V roku 2004 uviedla Karan na trh jeden zo svojich najväčších parfumových úspechov, parfumovú vodu DKNY Be Delicious.
